Calendar of Events: 2013 - 2014 Season
In its 33rd year as the pioneering industry force behind Boston's vibrant culinary scene, the Culinary Guild of New England (CGNE) returns for another year of supper clubs, book and cookbook clubs, coffees, sustainability events, culinary weekend escapes, and cooking demonstrations.
A powerful network of chefs, cookbook authors, food writers, caterers, and restaurant publicists—not to mention those who are simply passionate about cooking with fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients—the Culinary Guild of New England is proud to expand its offerings this season to include service opportunities and educational events to share with like-minded foodies.
Culinary Book and Cookbook Clubs:
In our members-only Culinary Book Club, we read a food-focused book and then gather at a CGNE member's home to discuss the book over snacks and wine.
Our members-only Interactive Cookbook Club gives CGNE members the opportunity to read and swap cookbooks with fellow members, try new recipes, and share feedback on each new cookbook. We then get together to share a dinner full of new dishes and enjoy a discussion of the various cookbooks that inspired each member. Both the Book Club and Cookbook Club occur about every two months.
Supper Club is an opportunity for members to experience an array of fabulous restaurants in and around Boston. Held throughout the season, each Supper Club dinner will feature a multi-course tasting menu that is designed exclusively for CGNE members. As in the past, the cost for each dinner will be inclusive of tax and gratuity.
